Days at training camp are filled with so much! Each day changes a bit but I wanted to let you know what a typical day for me looks like:)

7:30- wake up

I wake up to either my alarm or to the sound of tent zippers opening around me. Then the adventure of getting changed in my tent begins. Tent life is growing on me!

8:00- quiet time

This time has been so fruitful! Starting off my morning with the Lord is something I look forward to each day! I just finished reading through Matthew and it was such a blessing to be reminded of the life of Jesus and the journey He walked to the cross.

9:00- breakfast

Cereal and oatmeal have become classics to start the morning. Each meal time is an adventure because I get to sit with new people every meal which means lots of different conversations!

10:00- team devos

This past week we started doing team devotions after breakfast. We’ve been studying Romans and taking it one chapter a day. It has been special diving into scripture and being open with each other. Romans is such a good reminder, it can be read over and over and there’s always something new to learn.

11:00- worship

The worship time is some of my favourite time of the day! It’s nothing about performance but everyone is worshipping the Lord and giving Him the praise He is worthy of. We all have unique ways of worship and this time is always open to express these feelings.

12:00- session

Teachings have been about all kinds of topics. We have dived deep into topics such as forgiveness, prayer, evangelism, spiritual warfare and so much more!

1:30- lunch

Lunch is always a good time! Similar to breakfast, we sit at tables with a variety of people from the squad. Conversations on the dining deck can be anything from what we learned during our quiet time to reminiscing on old Disney channel shows. You never know what you’ll talk about!

3:30- session

Another session! This time is similar to the morning session just on a different topic. Sessions can be really draining and a lot of information but there’s so much value in them!

5:00- debrief and team time

I love my team and squad so much! During this time we usually discuss the previous sessions or hang out with our teams! (team introduction coming soon)

There’s such a healthy atmosphere where people on the squad are willing to be vulnerable and also share their opinions. There’s so much fruit produced during this time!

7:00- dinner

Dinner is the same as the other 2 meals just with new conversations and new people!

8:00- chores and free time

Each night our squad has chores that we have to do. It can be anything from cleaning the porta potties (yes that’s our bathroom situation), sweeping the deck, or washing the dishes. After chores are complete, we have personal time to do whatever we want! Some nights we worship with the squad, others swing dance, or play games.

Days can be really long at training camp but they’re filled with so much joy and the people I get to do life with each day are such a blessing to be around!
