This past week was one of unity, freedom, and pure joy. The Lord has so clearly placed all of W Squad together for a purpose! The love I have for these people, my squadmates, teammates, and the squad leadership, is beyond words.

I had no idea how much I could learn in one week and the growth of intimacy with the Lord that could be experienced! This week I have begun to truly understand what it looks like to walk in freedom because of the work that was done on the cross. Jesus died for me even though I had nothing to offer Him.

The community I am surrounded by is like nothing before. Each person is hungry for the Lord and He is clearly working and moving throughout our squad. This week has challenged and stretched me but it has been so so good! Living life in community has been such a blessing, being able to discuss hard things, encourage one another, and challenge what we truly believe.

On Friday night, we had revival worship and the Lord was moving, people were experiencing the true joy of life with the Father. Then on Saturday, we had a baptism night, the Holy Spirit was using what he had done the night before in the lives of so many people. Our squad had connected before these two nights but there is something special about the bonds that were formed after these nights.

My heart was so full of joy, indescribable joy, one that can only come from Christ. I’ve realized that the things of this world truly have no value in comparison to the love that Jesus offers. I always told myself that before the race started but I’m starting to fully grasp this concept.

This week was full of all kinds of things, sessions, worship, squad wars, hanging 6 layers of hammocks, and sleeping in a tent while it was pouring rain outside.

It is so hard to sum up into words what this week has been, but I am so thankful for all that it held.

I am so excited to spend the next 9 months with W Squad!
