Vietnam was a country where the Lord grew me in ways I would have never expected and planted seeds that I pray he will continue to water as we continue the race. The Lord is moving around this globe in ways we can’t even imagine, he doesn’t need us but chooses to use us as his vessels.

Vietnam was a place where there was a choice to lean in or just go through the motions. It was a place where friendships were made and grown. This country was a place full of beautiful creation that the Lord allowed our teams to explore. It challenged me to not become satisfied by the comforts of living a block away from the beach, having comfortable beds, or having a variety in choice of food.

At the beginning of our time in Vietnam, Emma and I were praying that our teams would not allow the comforts to become a distraction from the purpose for us being in the sweet country of Vietnam or that we would start praising the creation more than the creator. It rained for many days while we were in Vietnam which was honestly disappointing, but looking back it was kind of like an answered prayer in an unexpected way. God’s answers aren’t always what our flesh desires but it’s what our flesh needs.

While in this country, the Lord gave me a new desire for prayer and wow was he faithful in the ways he responded to my cries and praises. He is a promise keeper and a miracle worker.

It’s hard to put into words all that happened in Vietnam, but here’s some snippets of what life looked like!
